WHAT IT COSTS
Sharpening is billed by the inch — not by a pile of knives you have to hit before we’ll come. Travel and pickup fees are distance-based from Fort Lauderdale. The estimator shows your total before you book.
No minimum number of knives. A typical home kitchen order is a few blades that meet the inch minimum together.

How billing works
- Per inch, not per knife count. We measure the blade and bill $2.00 per inch, with a 10-inch ($20.00) minimum on the order.
- Deposit. $20.00 when you book a mobile visit. The rest is due when the work is done. Promos reduce the final sharpening balance, not the deposit.
- Commercial. Restaurants, salons, and crews get account pricing — don’t use the residential estimator as your kitchen program rate.

You really don't know how dull your knives were until you've had them professionally sharpened, and Hulett's Razor will bring your knives to an edge that could cut through time and space. I opted to set up a mobile service, and the technician (Jesse) showed up exactly on time and ready to take a look. He inspected my knives, made a few suggestions about edge angle and one of the tips that had a bend in it, and got to work. All told, it was much, much faster than I expected and in a little under an hour I had my entire kitchen set, a few pocket knives, and I even brought out one of the nicer knives from my collection that I knew hadn't seen a real edge in (literally) 100 years sharper than they've ever been. So Jesse demonstrates the edge with paper but there's no substitute for testing an edge yourself, doing the things you do daily. Simple tasks like cutting vegetables and meat while cooking, easy and clean. My pocket knives always make the cut, whatever I'm cutting. It's like having brand new blades. I've tried sharpening knives myself, plenty of times, but there's just no comparison to what a good, experienced professional can do. Plus, Jesse was a great guy with a ton of knowledge he was willing to share about caring for the knife, keeping the edge for as long as possible, and 'refreshing' the edge. He even gave me a little micro-strop with the Hulett's Razor logo on it. Pricing was extremely reasonable, downright cheap for the level of service. I know they also offer pickup and dropoff service and that's even more reasonable, but this was my first time using these guys and I wanted to see what the whole thing was about first. Absolutely worth it, you will not regret getting your edges sharpened by Hulett's Razor. They're professional, extremely skilled, and great people. If you get a chance or you need this type of service, they can't be beat.

Is there a minimum number of knives?
No. We bill a 10-inch minimum at $2.00 per inch ($20.00), not a 12-knife minimum. A handful of kitchen knives is a normal residential order.
How is the travel or pickup fee calculated?
By driving distance from our Fort Lauderdale shop to your address. Nearby jobs often have no fee. The estimator shows the exact amount before you book.
Do you discount the deposit?
No. The $20.00 deposit is a flat amount when you book a mobile visit. Discounts and promo codes apply to the final sharpening balance, not the deposit.
What about restaurants and salons?
